NEVER COMES UP FOR SALE.....jeesh...been looking and looking. it seems like 1 or 2 comes up for sale on KLOV a year but is always too far away. ebay never has anything. why are these so rare? how did i end up with a Reactor before a mad planets, i was thinking reactor was more rare. i know phet was having a hard time finding one as well. did these have really low production numbers?

I had two at one point, grabbed them within a week of each other.
Chris Moore got one of them, the other is sitting nicely in my gameroom next to Qbert, Krull and Three Stooges.
I never see Reactor for sale LOL.
I think if you're looking for something, it wont turn up.
Start looking for something else and you'll be buried in Mad Planets.

I stumbled on one a few months ago picking up my NBA Jam. Wasn't working, but in decent shape. I gave the guy's info to Wickedbass and he ended up getting it for $150. Just thought I would rub a little salt in that wound... ;)

very frustrating, you'd think this would be one of the easier games to pick up due to it not being as popular in the arcades back in the day.

muwhahaha you've got a pm Bill :D

Mad Planets is awesome. I discovered it for the first time on MAME last year, and played it in a dedicated cabinet for the first time this past weekend at dj dns's party. I'd definitely consider it an oft-overlooked classic of the golden age of arcades.

Heheh no worries.... I'll try to catch ya at the coinop corral!! Need an answer fairly soon, no hard feelings if ya decide to hang onto it, just lmk :D

Tom

Maybe I should do a "Two For" deal with you... Giving you the "Best" with the "worst" in my collection... The worst "looks great" but very hard to move around here!

Heheh if the "worst" is Food Fight! I might be down, as the shipping is prolly the same for 2 games, lol. However, I'm seriously space challenged so I may only be able to take one more anyway and I've been saving that slot for MP! however, now you've raised my curiousity as to which title the worst really is? ....But is Mad Planets really the best? I'm fixing to be on chat tonite.

I played this for the first time at CAX and thought it was pretty sweet. Do I just suck or the game is supposed to be really hard? Maybe a little bit of both? :)

The game is very challenging, without a doubt. My high score is like 60k or something. Which sucks.

seems like you have to get the whole game or nothing at all...i haven't seen any pcbs, glass or control panels come up for sale to even piece one together. can't wait to find one in my area.

I've given up on that idea, so am preparing to ship... Thought for sure I'd find someone in SoCal but no luck.

Just looking at the game on Johns arcade / Klov page video run , they must be wanted , Klov lists them as common ? 42 known of . Out of thousands of arcade games made , you wouldn`t think only 42 makes it common ? , maybe it does , sort of reminds me in a distant manner of a cross between Gyruss and Haleys comet , i say Haleys , just because it seems to be way more advanced than say Galaga , in sound and Graphics , you know , like the next Gen space type from say Galaga era , etc .
