I was trying to replace the Gorf joystick plate on my Mad Planets cabinet with a Gottlieb plate and encountered a problem. There are 5 or6 security screws that hold the joystick together and none of my security bits seem to work. I can't tell if this is because the screws are rusted and softened or if my bit size is actually off.

Does anyone know what the correct security bit size is for this joystick and where I can possibly get replacement screws for this stick in the event that these are stipped?

Also, I have a grabber bit to remove stripped phillips screws, would this work on a stripped security screw?

hrmmm...mine only had 2 security screws and were allen heads...1 from each side...then there was 2 regular phillips on the bottom.

Mine has one at the top and two on each side at the bottom for a total of 5. I'm kinda confused, I thought the position of the 4 bottom screws were staggered but they apparently oppose each other in position. Do the screws actually go through the joystick shaft?

You're right, these security screws appear to be allen heads after closer inspection with better lighting. I didn't even know allen hexagonal security screws/bits even existed.

post a pic of the stick....sounds like a gorf stick....

Aaahh f*ck. That would explain the Gorf joystick insert I guess. The guy I bought it from said he put his own Gorf plate in, at least that what I thought he said.
