I have a Macy Liberty Bell III slot machine that had been working fine in my house for a few months. I ended up selling it and now the new owner is getting HE (hopper empty) messages anytime that the game tries to pay out tokens.
I went over there this morning and was able to get it to work a couple of times. Seems like it will work for a few spins and payouts and then go right back into the HE error state.
What can I check to troubleshoot this? There are probably 150 tokens in the hopper.
I've pulled the top half of the hopper apart and cleaned everything good. This allowed the machine to work for a couple of times then it went straight back into the error message.
Is there something with the grounding of the machine that would cause this? The machine dosen't have an overfill hopper
