MACH 3 Laser Player, It Works!..... And Now So Does The Whole Game!!!

I'm such a dumb ass! I had this PR8210-R player here, tried it and it seemed like the motor was shot. I set it aside thinking I need to replace the motor or find one somewhere, somehow. So my project game has been on the back burner for a while. I have been posting asking people if they have a working one and hitting dead ends. I have had this thing collecting dust here and three cabs in the garage waiting to have on super nice one made. I had a few extra moments tonight so I decided to hook it up again. This time I took a qtip and rubbing alcohol to the laser just for the heck of it.

I wish I put together a dirty laser being the same as the machine assuming a disc is upside down. I can not wait to get my game together. I am dieing to play this after having the projects here for a couple years.

Anyways, I just felt like sharing this small victory with you all. Tonight was a good night. :)

I am so glad this is working now. I can finally get this beast in the house. I think this will be a downstairs game since it's a heavy bastard to move.

Yeah, having to do silly crap like work gets in the way of so much. I really wanted that cockpit too but I am sure glad I at least have the upright going.

So when are you coming by to help me get it in the house, I mean play some MACH 3?

Bro, congrats on the small victory tonight.....i know you will be happy to move it out of the garage....it so deserves to be a centerpoint of a collection. And with the easy repair, you should think of putting it by your Omega Race(hummm, have i played that before?) or in your center room upstairs by Tapper(another great game to played when you're buzzed). I will come over and help you move it up there.

How about in late June when I bring a certain board over to test?

AND to HFK, sorry I couldnt grap that that MACH 3 cockpit version for you quick enough. I think the seller got something from the buyer to sweeten the deal. I did try though....

Nice save Todd....

My brother just bought a place on Marco Island so I am sure I will be getting down that way more often.

It's good to see another MACH 3 up and running.
You are right, it's one heavy bastard. When I move mine around I have to put the hand truck on the side to move it myself. To get it though a door you have to put the hand truck on the back and have to run a strap around it to hold the truck to the cabinet and I still have to have help to tilt it back even when I weighed 300 pounds. I didn't have enough ass to tilt it back on my own. Make sure the cabinet never gets wet, it's made out of that no count MDF board which soaks up water better than a sponge.
