Hey all I am looking at a MACH 3 cockpit. It has been changed over to run 1942. the cab is in great condition and looks great. My question is does anyone have a picture or two of what the guts look like? He has sent me pix as he says the game still has both systems inside but I cant tell as i dont know what the mach 3 looks like. Are parts around for the orig MACH 3?? Also the side of the cab has the manafacture rather then MACH 3, anybody know why this is? The big question is......is it even worth it?

all I know about Mach 3 is that is one of those Laser disk games and the insides should have the player in there. I'm not sure how rare the parts are for this compared to oh say a Dragon's Lair.

I saw one of these local about two moths ago but didn't go after it...the way the guy talked it had the original board and player but not the disk.(he seemed to be using compatible game disks)

Here's a few pictures of mine.

I went and looked at the game Hucklebuck, its missing the main board, the laser disc player and probably a video board as well i think.Cabinet is in good shape, has a G07 monitor.Looks like the wiring is mostly intact.Looks like they used the original power supply board on the back door for power to the 1942 board that is in there. And used a seperate harness for the 1942 board as well.It can be converted back with relative ease, just takes cash.Oh,and the flight stick is gone.Put a jotstick in there instead.

Just from your pics. it looks like your missing mother board, video sync. board, sound board, and I think one other daughter board. Also the monitor is mounded vertical, and MACH 3 is horiz.. It also looks like you have some work de-converting the wiring from Romstar back to Mylstar. If you really want to convert it back to MACH 3 please heed this warning: CLEAN ALL electrical connectors! Also re solider all header pins. These games can be very problematic, and most problems will be traced back to bad/loose/corroded connections.
I had a stock one for many years, and finally got fed up with chasing electrical gremlins, ripped the guts out, and installed DAPHNE. Cost me about $100. Now I have multiple LD games(including MACH 3) in one unit, and have been problem/stress free for a few years now.
Just my 2 pennies

It looks like the "Mylstar" logo on the side is a decal covering over the original "M.A.C.H. 3" logo.

I believe this was done when converting MACH 3 cockpits into Us Vs Them, a later laserdisc title from Gottlieb/Mylstar.

Kyle
