Does anyone own a dedicated upright? Anyone else a fan of the game? What's it like in color? I've got it on the 8 in 1 and it seems to be the game I turn to the most. I never heard of it until I got the multi-kit. Why? Not very popular?

One of my favorite on the Space Invaders multigame kit... that is where I first played it. It's also on my Taito Multigame (but in color)... I like the SI Multikit version slightly better (more bass) but I digress...

I have a old non-working monitor with Lunar Rescue burn in. I remember my brother would take me to this sub shop in Memphis from time to time and there was a Lunar Rescue cocktail there. I think that is the only one I ever saw BITD.

I have a dedicated upright. Currently it has an issue on the board (wants to register "tilt" all the time). Fun game and cool looking cab!

I had one and shipped it back east. Nice crazy climber style cabinet. I was going to put the guts of CC in it(crushed a badly water damaged one), but someone wanted to save it, so I sold it.

I really don't remember playing it, so I probably sold it as-is/not working.

Funspot has a dedicated cab, and I'll include a pic of it. As to the screen colors, it's not too fancy, and actually looks like it still has the color overlays, but it's doesn't, because when you crash, the whole screen goes red. Here's a screenshot of the attract mode and a game (on another day) with a friend of mine who has the record (1st pic, he maxed it out to 99,990 and killed it off)

I love the plaque on top. Makes it look official and important.

I'll echo the comments here, on my SI 8-in-1 game, Lunar Rescue is the game that gets played the most. It's a great game.

I did not know there was also a color version of it as well! That game would be awesome in color...me want!

Tom

Lunar Rescue is a great game.

You don't hear much about Tatio, but they actually did make some really good games!

I love the style of the Tatio's cabinets from that era.

I made it into a Sketchup model a while ago, but mine doesn't have the standard blue Taito stencil kit....

Man, I love Lunar Rescue. I first played it on one of those TV plug-n-play things.

I actually enjoy the game more than Space Invaders. Too bad it so uncommon, though.

I had the cocktail version and sold it last year. I didn't mind it however it was not my most played game.

It was however the first arcade game I had bought and the fever / sickness grew from there.

I have a "Moon Lander" PCB that is a clone of it. Non working but complete. It actually used to say "Help" on the screen when you test it. If anyone wants it, let me know. Maybe a cheap trade.

I would love to find a Dedicated Lunar Rescue someday, but I think I will be just as happy with it in my SID. The game is just fun, period.

I never heard of the game until I saw it on my 8-1 as well. I'll jump on the bandwagon and say that it is the most played game on there besides SID.
