Lunar Lander splashes down in Idaho

There's a couple of them out here if you want to round trip it to Seattle one weekend. Probably $350, not mine.

Awesome haul! LL is one of those games that is ingrained in my DNA. And that one looks to be in incredible shape... I love the sideart... very '70s spacey. ;) Great grab!

I'm still blown away that the machine did so well with 6 years of daily use on location... with only 2 board issues. Tom wasn't fooling around when he went through that one.

Another cool read!! It's hard to believe that the LL was on location for such a long length of time with so few issues. Amazing!! I wonder what they replaced your LL with?

To this day, if I've had a long aggravating day, an hour or so on my Lunar Lander usually calms me down. I've noticed that the price on these (and pretty much everything else) is down right now. If you can find one, you can probably get it for about as low as it's going to get.... until our hobby is completely tanked, that is.

Has anyone ever scanned the LL sideart?

I would love to have that reproduced - my best bud has a very clean LL that only needs new side art to be 100% Awesome.

Any volunteers to scan their super-clean LL?

I'm not sure what replaced it, i didnt go inside to look when i picked it up. I paid 500 for this one with a dead monitor .Back then they were going for about twice that if working. My friend Tom rebuilt the monitor and spent some extra time on it. The picture is still stable and looks sharp after 6 years of almost daily use. It really is amazing. But so is Tom on vectors.

$500 back then was a great price! Heck, that's a great price NOW, even with lower selling prices which seem to be more commonplace.

BTW, which Tom is this? Is he here on KLOV? Or is he one of those repair friends you're keeping to yourself? :)

I've never liked working on monitors much, but the boards....well, that's a different story. I enjoy those real hairy repairs... LOL

Tom is not on Klov. I keep him locked in my basement and slide plates of food and deflection boards under a small gap in the door.
