Ok another dumb question, which is what is the best grease to use on plastic gears? I thought I heard once that using petrolium-based grease is bad for plastics, true?

I've taken apart the control panel on my Turbo mini and I'm cleaning/lubing everything, using normal bearing grease for the metal parts, but I thought I'd better check before doing the main drive gear which appears to be nylon.

True. Petroleum products cause plastic products to disintegrate.
