I've dismantled and cleaned up my Battlezone sticks, and now need to rebuild them.

The manual mentions two areas that need lube. The actuator pins at the bottom of the shaft, and the large ball in the middle. As per:

The large ball - do I need to cover the whole thing with lube? I have some Nyogel which I intend using.

Thanks.

It will get completely covered in the end, just from regular use, as the grease moves around. So it's best to fully cover it.

Nyogel works well for BZ sticks, as it's a little thicker, but for anyone else finding this thread in the future, you can also use silicone dielectric grease (aka spark plug boot grease), which you can get at any auto parts store, for a few bucks. This grease also works excellently on Tempest spinners and Monroe joysticks as well.
