I have my Rowe CD-100A hooked up to a surge strip and use this to turn it on and off for convenience. Every time I power up the jukebox a loud "pop" comes thru the speakers. I was thinking of adding a 5 sec. on delay relay to the amp power cord to try to prevent this. Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I believe that pop is due to a diode circuit wired into the jukebox somewhere, the purpose of which I don't even remember. I do know that it was present in some vinyl boxes, then was removed when many operators complained. I'm sure Ken Layton or someone could tell you more about it. Just to make sure, turn off the jukebox, then power up everything else on the circuit and turn the juke on. If you still have the pop, it's in the jukebox.

It's normal for that juke.
