i just got an afterburner stand up over the weekend, my first arcade machine ever :)

the fan at the top is pretty loud. it blows fine but it sounds like its on its last leg

where would be a good place to score a good quiet replacment? im handy with electronics so putting it in shouldnt be fine for me.

thanks for the help

Try cleaning the fan first. All the dust build up can be enough to throw the fan off balance. Off balance rotating parts make LOTS of noise.

If Cleaning doesn't help, some Radio Shocks carry muffin fans. You'll need to pull the one you have and find out what voltage it runs on, and what CFM it pushes.

Other than that you might have to order one from Mouser, Digikey, or one of the other big component places.

Or just oil the bearings in the fan after you clean the dust and dirt off of it. Light machine oil/sewing machine oil should work fine.
