I believe the two XY boards are identical in the G80 systems.
But there are 2 others (CPU and ROM) that are unique to each game. Some of the sound boards are used in more than one game, but aren't universal to all the games.

The two XY boards (control and timing) are the same between game sets.
The CPU and EPROM boards are the same too, but obviously with different chips.
The CPU board has a security chip that differs between games.
BUT
The Sega encryption scheme was broken some time back. You can wire up a 'passthrough' security plug and burn 'security-free' roms to run any of the games.
(well, you'd still need a variety of sound boards )
