So I have a chance to buy a lost world Jurassic park shooter, (stand up). I just went to see it and the 1st player registers only on the left side of the screen , while the 2nd player gun goes crazy on the right and also sort of works on the left side of the screen. He has a spare 2n player gun that he says was changed out for the current gun because of a wiring issue? There were two wires that weren't in the molex connector but I didn't say anything. Those sensors off the happ store are $68 bucks each so what's everyone's ruling? The replaced 2nd player gun is screwy or am I going to have to change some sensors around the monitor ? Oh and I also noticed when I was looking that the supposed not working sensors on the right side of the screen still had like a red infrared light on like it was getting power , just like the other ones that were working

Indeed making sure each of the screen sensors are active (each showing two red dots) is the first priority. You can get replacement sensors for about $15-$20 in my opinion. Guys on this forum have them if you ask around. Next of course there is a sensor in each gun. I believe those sensors are usually a working or not working situation. The next thing to check are the dark tinted lenses at the tip of the gun. If they are all scratched up, they could be throwing off the signals. I would also make sure the tinted lenses in front of each of the screen senors are clean. If none of that works, its probably an internal sideline pcb called a gun sense board. The guy who taught me all of this is named Ken. He is very helpful with this kind of stuff, and has his own website at irepairsega.com.
