during the Easter "arcade" party with family and friends. ;)

Centipede had garbage come up on the screen right from the get-go and then Firepower decided to start resetting in the middle of a game(which confuses me since it has a rebuilt power supply and a new MPU/driver board).

Even with these loses... it was a good Easter in the arcade. :beerchug:

Glad you had a great Easter party to bad about the issues that arose. My Gyruss has done that twice to me, turn it on and garbage but then by the time I open the back door and start to look it fixes itself...I think its a game between us..LOL

I feel for you. My BZ, Tempest, SW, Centipede, Stargate, Bosconian and a few others have done that to me over the years.

Sorry to hear it Jeff. Thats one of the most disappointing things about this hobby - the continuous upkeep :(

Easter Party

My Q-bert started acting up, after about 7 hrs straight of playing - the screen started to pulse, I turned it off and let it rest - I figure 7 hours for a 27 year old game is alot to ask.

Thanks
Greg

That sux.... :O(
Is that a brand-new (as in replacement) or rebuilt-new board set?
Is FP resetting all on its own, or when you activate a flipper or coil?

Happy Easter anyway!!!
cheers

At christmas, i had 40 people over the house, and the arcade was packed...Next thing i know my Missile Command Blew a flyback...LOL

SMOKE EVERYWHERE!!!

people scatered!!!!

Having downs occur when you have guests over sucks. :( I've had it happen to me a few times so I know the feeling.

Life is short, you don't need the headaches given to you by that blasted Bosconian!! You need to find some sucker to take it off your hands!!!! LIKE ME!!

Bought my wife a centipede for Christmas a few years ago she played it about fifteen mins and the flyback blew then of course company comes by and says nice present can we play. Well the wife starts raging me out about the hobby. O well

Hah thats a coincidence. My Firepower smoked a coil today. WOW do those things stink. Sticks to your clothes too.

Brand spankin' new. It's a combination board that replaces both the MPU and solenoid driver.

The resetting happened to the guests a few times and then I experienced it twice... in both my games it seemed to happen on a flipper flip.

On a good note I got the really sad condition Xenon we recently picked up "mostly" running. ;)

I lost my Gyruss over the Easter weekend :( Good thing its just the edge connector that needs to be repinned.

Got lucky on the Firepower... the spade connector on one of the bridge rectifiers was very loose. Once I put a new end on the reset problem cleared right up. :D

Haven't looked at the Centipede yet... too busy working on the Xenon, the Gorf cabaret project, and Firepower. :)

Money's on the line here lol
