I have a Stern Lost Tomb game that was apparently a conversion. Love the game, but the power supply is lunch. I know this was an issue with these games and want to put in a modern switched solid state supply. Does anyone have a SPECIFIC recommendation on which unit (with source link please) would work with this system. Found one site in GA but they do not have on line ordering and I am only getting a voice mail on the phone. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give. This game seems pretty rare and I love it so I want it back in working order.

You need to buy a 15 amp switching power supply. The Real Bob Roberts sells them for $25 + shipping. I did the same with mine. Works perfectly. If you don't wanna hack the harness, you need to buy the Stern switcher adapter that arcadeshop.com sells, in addition to a switching power supply. Here's the one I restored (sadly I just traded it away for a Punchout):

Thanks

I found Bobs site and fired off an e-mail to him. Hopefully he will get back to me. In any case, thanks so much for the tip. Your pictures look GREAT! You did a very nice job on this, it looks brand new. Mine is black with red lettering, was that the original scheme on your's (I understand most of these were conversions anyway)? I have a small collection only, the Lost Tomb, Bag Man (which I LOVE), and a vintage Delta Queen pinball machine. Also have The Main Event (boxing game) which someone gave me in working order but never really did much with. Thanks again!!!

Yours is the correct color scheme. Mine started the same way, I just restored it with custom colors and a custom kick plate stencil.

Exactly

Yes, mine looks exactly like the photo you showed. Bob was great!! He sent the PS when I sent the check so they crossed in the mail. Got it today and installed it. Seems to work but unfortunately now I am not getting the game on the screen. It looks like it is trying to come up but all I am getting is a matrix of partial graphics (repetitive O shapes, triangles, etc), sometimes part of a pyramid, and ocasssionally a "whip" sound. I fear that when the PS went out it may have taken other more sensitive things with it. Going to have to dig deep on this now.
