So where's the love for Lost Tomb? Just got a chance to play this again at my friend's house, first time in over 20 years! (And it's the same game I sold to him back in the 80's--regrettably but wanted a good home for it).

LT has the great control of Robotron (move and shoot joysticks) and some of the frantic melee action, with added whip button, plus the "get through the room" goal of Bezerk on major steroids. The games can be long (a LOT of rooms in the pyramid!) and IMO this is one of my top 5 all-time arcade faves. (Asteroids Deluxe and Robotron are also on the list; not sure of the other 2).

So, I was wondering (because space is at a premium) if it would be possible to convert a cabaret to Lost Tomb? If so, what cabaret might work best for this? (I would try to salvage a cab, of course, and not ruin a good cabaret!)

Of course it's possible. As to which cabinet, I'd go with a Tutankham cabinet.

While not a true cabaret, it is one of Stern's smallest uprights, has a vertical monitor and will power a Lost Tomb board with the existing wiring. You'd have to change the Control Panel wiring though. I restored a Lost Tomb in a standard Stern Upright a few years ago. The game is fun, but hard as hell.

I think it's still for sale. :)

Really? *drool*

Very funny that Bagman was also posted as a cab option--that is the SECOND game my friend has, and I also sold it to him back in the 80's pre-move. He has the two of them side-by-side. (I only haad 4 games altogether--kept the Super Pacman cocktail and Asteroids Deluxe, the latter of which was later sold to another friend before another move.)

Interesting on the Tutankham cab. Didn't know they were a bit smaller.

Depending on where you live, takeman has a nice example for sale and his cab is beautiful.

Damn some of you guys on here never cease to amaze me with these restores, awesome job Phet.
