hooked up my 60n1 last night....turned monitor....worked good.....went back today to play and NOTHING....acts like it has lost power. Any ideas? When I turned it off last night i left it plugged in and turned it off with the switch on the back. Should I leave it on all the time when I get it back up?? Or just unplug it? I dont play them alot...but sometimes three to four days ina row. Any suggestions on what is wrong and proper procedure for shutdown? Thx in advance.

Yeah, probably nothing to do with "how" you shut it down..... things just break when they break.
Could be something as simple as the power switch itself.
Get a meter out and trace the power in from the wall all the way to the power supply.

Do any lights come on on the 60-1 board ?
Does the monitor have neck glow ?

Just a matter of figuring out "where" the power loss is.

broken psu,probably
try with another one if its possible

Swapping parts isn't always the best way to troubleshoot. It could be a faulty power supply, a blown fuse, a messed up cabinet interlock, etc. He doesn't give nearly enough information about his problem, so he shouldn't start changing components until he checks things.

For example, he doesn't say if the whole cabinet is dead (no monitor, marquee light, etc) or if the board just won't boot. He also doesn't mention what kind of cabinet it is (60-in-1 is a bootleg board with no dedicated cabinet).

He needs to do the basic, simple things, starting with checking to see if he's getting power TO the power supply, and then see if the power supply is actually outputting the proper voltage.

I also don't know what kind of power supply he has - a 60 in 1 even has a molex plug on it to accept power from a computer power supply. He might be using that - he might not. I don't know.

power loss

Thx for all the replies..Ima newbie....Just got a TOKI game...bought a 60-1 pcb from NIX. I turned the monitor. The games worked fine the first night....Played it for a hour or so...Turned it off from the switch on the back. Went back next day nothing to the PCB....No little green light at all....Monitor is getting power.....found 2 fuses neither were bad.. Just no power to the board. Plugged the old TOKI borad back in...nothing there either.....I am learning and willing to try anything....Just don't wanna do something stupid and land on my rear from shock. LOL Thats why I am asking here. What powers the PCB? I think that is all it is. There is a fuse that goes to the monitor. and one down by the I guess it is a power supply. where the cord goes. It is also good...there is another box on the side that has alot of wires coming out of it to the PCB.....Has a white and red button on it....Im not sure what that box is called....I think the power may be coming from it...SORRY to sound stupid....This is my first game out side of a pinball and juke box. Thx for anymore ideas in advance.

OK, it does sound like something is wrong with the power supply. Do you have a multimeter? Check the voltage going into the power supply, and then the output voltage. It's possible that either the power supply itself has failed (in which case, there will be power going *to* the power supply, and no output). Or, the fuse going to the power supply could have failed, in which case there will be no power going into the supply, and obviously nothing out. Did you actually check the fuses, or did you just look at them? It's sometimes possible for a fuse to fail without looking burned out.

I just looked at the fuses...I am new as stated above....I need to get a learners guide I guess....All of the phrases are foreign to me...I know what a power suplly means....But not sure what it is on the machine if that makes sense...I will try and find someone close to me...ANYONE in Southeast KY? Thx. or know anyone around here? Thx again
