Well, these are not theater seats, but are very similar. The seats are actually auditorium seats from the Lake City High School here in MN. They renovated after 80 years(yep, the seats are from the 1930's), and a junk dealer bought all 256 seats and removed them himself. They were anchored to the cement.

He told me they were in rows of 11, and he broke them down into rows of 4 to sell. I bought one row of 4 for $40. He wanted $50, but I got him down a little.

The seats and seatbacks made out of wood, and the frame is cast iron. The ends have the initials "LC", which I thought was the manufacturer's logo, but the dealer said they were custom built for the Lake City H.S. all those years ago, so obviously LC is Lake City.

This row of seats is only missing one seat number plate, #4. 1 thru 3 are intact, as is the row #(B) on the arm of seat #4. They are very comfortable despite being wood. I moved 1 game(Moon Patrol) to the other side of my arcade to make room. Now visitors and fellow gamers can sit in the seats and have a nice view of the whole room. The mural, the emergency booth, and all the games are nicely displayed from the seats. Also, they're front row seats for anything I want to play over the drive-in speakers; music, old radio shows, etc.

Here's some pics:

The wall behind the seats didn't look quite right. So I added both of my Creepshow posters. Both are original one-sheets from BITD. Looks better now.....

The "reserved" sign right above the doorway makes a little more sense now!

Thanks. I love this stuff!!

How the hell do you keep doing this? Awesome piled on top of awesome with some Holy Shit! sprinkled on top!

The seats are great. The local museum (Norfolk, NE) has a 4 seat section of seats from the old downtown theatre. Yours look almost exactly like that. 80 years old, huh. Must be the oldest gameroom accessory of any of us. I love your game room. Only suggestion that I could make is to extend the "road" from the mural across the length of the floor so that people walk on it as they traverse the room.

On the pole on the far side of the room, you have something that looks like a RM Wattmeter. What is that?

Thank you, sir. Well, I love to decorate and add cool things. I literally have pages and pages of ideas that reflect all the weird and unique things I want to add to the space. Some are big, some are small. But I plan on completing that list.

I have thought about extending the road all the way out across the room. That would be cool as hell, wouldn't it?

A Navy audio level meter is what you are looking at; and its mounted on my "emergency line booth"; which is my idea of what a lost traveler might encounter instead of a phone booth when out on the Lost Highway. Its obviously military-like; one would call the "Missile Command" directly on the phone if you were threatened by UFO's, etc.

Here's some pics of the audio level meter:

Exactly... it's hard to keep up with all the cool stuff in there! Can't wait for next weeks episode. :)

Awesomeness! :beerchug:

Thanks, Jeff. I have some more cool things in order coming up soon. And hopefully before the end of the year I am going to reveal the MOTHER of all cool things to my fellow klov members. Stay tuned.....

Those chairs would have been made by one of these three big theater seat manufacturers of the time:

Heywood-Wakefield

American Desk

American Seating

Probably you have Heywood-Wakefield seats.

Dude that is awesome thanks for sharing! I had forgotten about Sea Wolf, I'd wait in line to give it a whirl.

Right on Ken. Thanks for the info. I'll google these and see what pops up....

After a quick google search I would agree with you Ken. The design carved into the arms of the seats is dead on with Heywood-Wakefield....
