Hey all, I have a loose wire on my Whirlwind. It's the wire from the bottom lead of the 3K spinner gate switch on the right out lane. The wire is yellow on mine, and only about 3" long. Just want to confirm its supposed to come from the ground of the light right next to it. A pic would be very helpful as well. Thanks in advance.

Give a shout if you still need an image after reviewing the schematic mentioned, and I'll open mine up.

I don't have a whirlwind but if the wire goes to a switch it needs to go to another switch for all system 11 games. There are special switches like coin door etc that are not in the switch matrix but this one should be.

Like mentioned find that switch on the switch matrix and then look and see if one of the nearby switches is missing a wire. that is a switch in the same row or the same column.

This is by memory (so check pinwiki.com) If it helps.... the white-other color wire is the row and should connect to the non-banded side of the diode on a lug that is only there to connect the wire to the diode.

The other end of the diode (banded) should connect with a lug that connects to a switch blade that makes contact when the switch is closed. The other blade that makes contact when the switch is closed should connect to the lug with the green-other color wire. This green wire is the column.

So if you have a yellow wire, it is usually there to jumper between 2 switches that are very close to each other to continue either the row daisy chain or the column daisy chain.

But it should not attach to anything but another row or column not a light or especially a solenoid or flasher.
