While I was fiddling around in the cab yesterday I found some fuses laying in the bottom in a corner. but I also found this VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

Does anyone know what it is? it has a slot on the Game PCB but i have no idea what it does so i didnt attach it. also its on top of an adapter looking piece with two pins broken off...

The game has no sound at all, which would make sense if this all of the sound info. Should I attempt to repair the broken pins? or simply remove from the holder and try to insert it directly to the board?

Disclaimer: I'm not familiar with this game.

I'd look real close at the little PCB that it's currently mounted on. Odds are there was a reason it wasn't just plugged straight into the socket on the main board (e.g. PCB intended for a different variety of EPROM). Also, I'm not certain that the empty socket in your pic is where it goes. Look around and make sure there aren't any other empty sockets before plugging it in there...

Here is a reference pic.

Looks like the socket above those two chips is supposed to be empty. If the game with different rosters, is it possible it's an old left over chip from an upgrade?
