Looks like we'll get a Rain-slick Precipice of Darkness 3 after all!

Some of you may have played Penny Arcade's On the Rain-slick Precipice of Darkness series in the past. If you did, then you know that they never made episode 3 (that sounds familiar, eh?). Well, it looks like they are now: http://www.rainslickgame.com/

It appears to be more reminiscent of the 16-bit era, which is awesome, and makes sense considering who is making it. And at $2.99 an episode, I don't think anyone can say the game is way overpriced like with Episode 1...

I may be the only one, but I'm super pumped to finally get to see this story to completion.

How much was episode one at the time? I remember buying it and thinking it was worth every penny. I'm excited they are going to finish up the series, so I should probably go revisit one and two. Looks like it'll be on xbox live as well, so time to work on some backlog so I'll be ready for this.

They need to include a version of this ala mega man 9 for the collectors version, a snes cart that has a label, folds open to reveal the game on memory stick or so.

I have episode 1 and 2, but haven't even finished the first yet. I liked it a lot...just got busy. I need to get back on the horse.

If I remember correctly, Episode 1 was $20 when it came out. I bought it then and enjoyed it, but did feel it was a bit short for $20. Episode 2 was cheaper on day one, but I forget by how much...I want to say maybe it was $12 or $15. In the long run I think that price point was much more reasonable, but the sales for episode 2 were pretty bad which played a part in what episode 3 was cancelled at the time, from what I understand.

I'm assuming you won't be able to bring your character over from Eps 1/2 but that won't be a shock and it's not like carrying over a character really did anything anyway :p There was one achievement I never did complete on Ep2 - I really need to go back and get that one...

Haven't picked it up yet, but it's on Steam here for $5. Also, Episodes 1 and 2 are on sale for $2 each or $3 for both here.
