Looks like the Sega Multi-G80 /w complete sound is a go!

Heh, that's a great one Sam! The ketchup analogy is perfect in regards to this topic...

Let's see, how long's it been now - I think the date on my Sega multigame says 1997 on it....and I think I installed it in '98. I'll keep waiting too...

Some good news
I sent this message on the Vector List
Vector Labs Multi Sega - Is it almost here?
Anyone heard anything lately about Vector Labs Multi Sega CPU board with multi-speech/ multi-game and expansion. The first release was supposed to be scheduled for late August. Well it's late August. :D

Here's the reply

The proto(s) have been running for a couple of months now with no problems.
The final PCB artwork has been completed and the production boards will be
available in 2-3 weeks which is pretty close to my original estimate.

Mike

So it looks like we will soon have a real Multi-Sega multi-game. :D

I hope it does see the light of day...

Is priced right, i.e. something a mere mortal can afford...

and it actually materializes...

I'm usually not a pessimist, but I've had this multigame in my Star Trek for 12 years now so I'll believe it when I see it.

Tom

Well I got 2 reply's from people that have seen it in action but yea I know what you mean, we have been waiting so long for this multi-game till it's a I'll believe it when I see it kind of feeling. As far as the price, yea I hope it's affordable but at this point I don't care as long as it works as advertised even if I have to sell off a game or two.
Here's the eye witness emails from the Vector List

I don't know what the current status is, but I've personally seen the prototype and even played it, so I can tell you that it exists and works.

I've seen the prototypes too, and Must say Mike's work is truly incredible.

Let's hope it doesn't come out at $300+.

I'd love to buy one but not THAT much.

Just the weekly bump.
When it was announced to be ready for the first release by late August I thought yes maybe it would be ready in time for my Birthday which is September 22 but that's in 3 days so it would appear all hope for that idea is lost. :001_ssad:
But their's still hope because their's still 96 days till Christmas. :D

Glade to see someone else giving this thread a bump.
I was beginning to think I was the only one still interested in this project.
I sure hope it's getting close to the release.

Has anyone reached out to the person on the vectorlist who was building it?
I havent been reading that list.

So I was hoping we would hear something soon but these things takes time and I am sure he will let us know when they are ready, It's just so hard to wait for a lot of us have been waiting years for this.

Is it ready yet?

Not yet, but I hear when it ships it will include a FREE Asteroids/Asteroids Deluxe/Lunar Lander multi kit.

It's enough for me that this is actually being worked on. It's the real deal.

I'm okay with it being delayed but having an occasional status update would be nice.

And if not, then not.

I have seen the work in progress just last week. I am totally stoked. Please hold onto your joysticks a little longer. It's Heinz ketchup baby.
