Looks like Stern "Rolling Stones" pinball machine is official

Funny we talk about relevancy yet the featured tunes appear to be at least 30 years old with Start Me Up being (ready for this) 36 years old!

Yup... that's relevant.

To add insult to injury on the radio this morning they were talking about the TOP 5 guitar riffs article on rolling Stones magazine. I'll be damned if the STONES weren't #1 with "Satisfaction".
Ya believe that shit?

Still being talked about on the radio and in a major music publication.

They must be TOOOOOTTTTAAAAALLLLYYYYY irrelevant

(that said, I'm not much of a stones fan [particularly for a pin])

On the upside I heard there's a midnight madness mode where it plays thriller and mick jerks back and forth across the playfield al la thriller zombie style

so how does a completely irrelevant band re-release a 34 year old album (exile on main street), that does not contain any of their biggest hits, and have it hit number one on the uk charts in 2010?

they may just have a little relevance left.

talk about whatever other bands you want, acdc, metallica, rush, floyd. none of them are bigger worldwide than the rolling stones.

Let see... The Rolling Stones have about 200 million albums sold world wide... Lets see what rock bands have outsold them... In the same range are: AC/DC Pink Floyd Elton John (250 million actually) Celine Dion How about some that have blown them away? Queen (300 million) Led Zeppelin (300 million) Madonna (300 million) ABBA (370 million) Michael Jackson (750 million) Elvis (1 billion) The Beatles (1 billion) So... AC/DC and Pink Floyd sure as heck have sold as much as The Stones... and others much more...

Big sellers for sure. But band/artist relevance was really the topic of the minutia that this discussion has devolved into anyway :)

Dont think any of those listed had #1 songs last year?

They tried to get AC/DC ....too expensive to license.....per song cost was ridiculous due to the various labels AC/DC is on. Stones own their own catalog of music, so it was much easier to license for a game.

OK, back to playing my Elvis!!! :)

I think it was recently announced that Bill Wyman is back working with the band, and they are doing some studio recording. He's the oldest Stone and will be 75 this year.

75 is pretty damn impressive for a rock and roller.

Just in case they need it, for the LE edition, they have the "coffin" mechanism in Avatar to add in.
