I have been going crazy trying to find a location ANYWHERE in FL where I can play TRON. I know they have it in Disney Quest, but I don't want to spend $40 PP to take my family there. Gameworks in Ft. Lauderdale no longer has TRON. Does anyone know where I can play TRON in FL?
Please email me at [email protected]

PS I am taking a trip in Feb 2010 up I95 to NYC. Any TRON locations along the way?

Funspot is in New Hampshire, not New Jersey :D Richie Knucklez is in Flemington NJ, I think it's a couple hours from downtown NYC. Here's a list of arcades (a couple are private) with Tron, courtesy of the arcade finder over at aurcade.com:

Also, when I was at Richie's last fall, his Tron was a PC hooked to the Tron controls with a flat screen monitor...didn't really care for how it played, but he had all the real guts of a Tron, so it may be up and running as God and Midway intended by now :D

Keep em coming

Thanks guy. Keep the suggestions coming!! I am a newbie, not a collector, just really wanting to find TRON. I want to play it and see if I love it as much as I did 30 years ago before I spend $1k-$2k to buy it. The hours may not work for me at Richie Kuncklez, as I will be getting to NY late on a Sunday and leaving on a Wed. But please let me know of any other places preferably in FL but anywhere along I95 fr FL to NY

Thanks again for all your suggestions!!

I am in Spring Hill, FL.....but I have driven all the way to FT. Lauderdale to play the game in gameworks only to find that the game was in pieces in a box truck. Aside from Disney quest I do not know any other place that has TRON in FL

You do know that you can get into Disney Quest in the evenings for about $20.00?

I don't remember the exact time, but I think it is around 6:00 in the evening. Plus ... they have lots of other great games to play.

I would welcome you to my place in Jax, but I don't have a Tron. :-(

Steve,
Thanks.....I will probably make it to Disney quest sooner or later. The problem is my wife has NO interest in gaming and believe it or not my 2 teenage daughters are not into video games. I see Disney Quest more for me than for them.

A note in the "I could kick myself" Dept......I have a timeshare in Daytona and have been going there for 18 years. I found out that an arcade there had TRON a couple of years ago. All the years I have been going to Daytona and I never went into that arcade. By the time I got to go there the game was gone.

I think this is my midlife crisis, but like I tell my wife..better to chase a 25 yr old game than a 25 yr old woman!!!!!!!

I just really need to play the game before I begin my search to buy one. I used to LOVE tron as a teen, but now that I am in my mid 40's I look fondly on everything from my teen years. The memory may be better than the real thing. I do remember my buddy Mike and I putting in one quarter each and usually playing for an hour or more.

I'm right off of 95 in MD but my ability to schedule with people is the PITS because of my work schedule, my wife's, and our 2 kids.

I'm about an hour off of I-95 in Columbia SC

You could play Tron, Asteroids, Space Duel, Tempest, Kangaroo, Spy Hunter, maybe Centipede, Battlezone, Galaga.

Wow...you guys are great!!! I wasn't expecting a personal invite, just looking for an arcade or pizza place that may have had TRON in it along the way.

kstillin...thanks but that is a little off the path for me, we have time constraints and have to be in NY for a family function, but the offer is appreciated.

vintagegamer...thanks also. I understand. I will be traveling to NY with my wife and 2 teens and back to FL with my 77 yr old dad in the car also. Fun, Fun trip.

I will keep searching for an arcade, bar, pizza place etc where I could pop in for a half hour of a break.

But again.....does anyone know ANY arcade, chuck e cheese, pizza hut, bar etc that has a working TRON in Florida? We like to take silly road trips so it would be no big deal to drive a few hours and make a weekend out of it.

Pizza place with a Tron cabinet? Maybe you could also catch the opening weekend of Return of the Jedi as well.
