Hello everyone,
I am looking to buy my first pin, and I am looking at a supersonic. I know not the best theme but from my understanding this era of machine is a good one to get started in to start to learn the basics.

First let me take a step back because I actually already have access to one machine, a Hula Hula EM machine, it is at my parents house and I am working on them to move it to my house but it hasn't happened yet. It also has developed some issues according to them and I am planning on going over and taking a look at it, something about the reset when you first turn it on keeps running forever, but I will look at it and see what I can figure out, I think it may be the scoring motor needs cleaning, any other ideas?

Back to the new pinball, I have not looked at it yet but the seller says that a couple of coils need to be replaced, but from what I know of electronics, coils dont just "go bad" something else had to cause them to "go bad", or am I wrong there? Anything in particular I should look for other than blown capacitors, leaky battery, art condition, playfeild condition? Also I know condition is everything but what would a fair price be for a machine of this age in apparently not NIB condition? I looked on pinpedia and it says average auction price is about 675, but it is hard to tell what condition those were in.

Thanks for all of your help and advice, I have been lurking here on and off for a while and there is a lot of good information and people, hope to join yall with a pin soon!
