I'm in need of a few small isolation transformers. Can't use the large combination isolation/power transformer types from most games due to lack of space. Looking for the small/cheap 1:1 ones. Don't need high wattage either, I'm not driving an arcade monitor. Just needs to be able to handle 30 watts or so.

i have a small one at home but will be next week untill i can take a pic and let you know about it, its probably 2 inch x 2inch give or take couple mm's

the arcade boneyard has a bunch.

Thanks, checked out their site... don't seem to be really any smaller than the ones I've already seen. Also, for the prices they are asking for used parts of unknown origin, I could just as easily buy brand new ones from Bob Roberts.

On a related note, the guy that runs that site left a real bad taste in my mouth when he started it - spamming on KLOV, spamming craigslist all over the country...

yes he spams a lot of craigs which annoys people but there are times when he has exactly what you need and can't find it anywhere else.

I might have some small ones. I bougt some a few years ago from some supplier that had them on sale and when they came in, they were real small. I think they were too small for video game monitors. We never used any after that. I will check on Thursday and see if I still have any.

I found the small ones I have (2) and It looks like they are not for monitors?
It looks like the secondary out voltage is only 12.6
I am not sure what these are for? doorbell?
Here is the link from the supplier if you want to look and see if they will work?

let me know if they will work or you want them?

Yeah, those won't work. I need 1:1 isolation transformers. Those transformers were probably used for powering lights, or any number of other things - 12.6v transformers are a standard voltage. Useful - just not for this :)

Thanks though!

Still looking...
