Be glad you did not win this item.
When I received this item, it had significant water damage. It was also quite dirty. THe water damage so affected the sticker as to make application very difficult and needlessly time consuming. I had to repair some of the backing to get it to adhere properly as I went.
I left negative feedback on ebay, and the seller sent me this blurb:
When i found that overlay I was very excited about it`s condition.I would been more than happy to tefund your money .I could have sold that item to any number of people. You stated item was dirty. Its mylar and meant for abuse. There was nothing on it that could not have come off with windex. As far as installation I can`t be held responsible for what you do.Their are people that have been installing overlays for years that still make mistakes. chuck
This was for an item that was listed as New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item (including handmade items). See the seller's listing .
My reply was as follows:
Chuck,
The simple fact is the item was not in the condition you stated it was.
There was significant water damage, which made application difficult. Parts of the sticker were so damaged as to not be able to be applied to the control panel. There was dirt covering sections of the front of the sticker. That you could have sold it to others is really not the issue. That you were not honest about the condition is, and I doubt seriously that had you been more up front regarding the condition that you would have garnered any interest. That you are now not contrite given these factors leads me to think this was an intentional deception.
Either way fair warning, if you buy from this seller you may want to take a closer look. His pictures for this item made it hard to gauge condition, but it clearly was not in the condition he had stated.
