I used to have this game and I forgot who I let borrow it.. heh.. I'm going to get a Wii-U (probably when it becomes widely available in March or April) and I've been stocking up on Wii games that I wanted to go through but never had time. I gave my Wii away years ago so I can't really play anything until I get the next system. If you have a MPT let me know your asking price. I have a sealed Zelda Skyward Sword I can trade if you'd like.

Thanks

Ehh. I really just want to be able to go through Metroid Prime (1) again.. There is a good chance that gamecube games will be added to the nintendo store so maybe I'll just wait to see if that happens and i'll download prime.. One of the best games ever IMO.

When I heard Metroid was going FPS, I thought it was going to be terrible. But MP1 was actually pretty good, and MP2 wasn't too bad either.

MP3 was unplayable for me. The Wii forced you to use WaggleMotion to play, and didn't even have an option to play normally so I stopped pretty quickly. Did the version of MP3 on MP Trilogy allow use of a real controller?

No, all 3 games are Wiimote+Nunchuk ONLY.

Prime 3 wouldn't even be playable with a Cube controller, there are a number of motion specific controls and actions in the game.

I have a nice copy of Trilogy Collectors Edition...but I think you'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands, especially given what it would cost for me to buy one now, the Metroid series is my favourite game series ever.

I actually still own the gamecube version of MP1 ... Would be pretty cheap just to buy a used gamecube for like a dollar and play it. lol I wanted the Trilogy back because it ran in wide screen.. MP1 was one of my favorite games of all time.. Definitly up there with Super Metroid.. Prime 2 was tedious to me and 3 was just alright. It was easier to play prime 3 witht he wiimote if you set the game controls to advanced.

Go pick up a cheap Wii and softmod it. You already own the game legally.

I actually found a refurbished gamecube at a gamestop for 30 bucks. They are shipping it to me. I didn't want to spend the money on a Wii when I'm likely to get a Wii-U sometime early next year. When I'm done with it maybe I'll try to put it into an arcade cab to run MK5 (whatever it was called. it's been a while. hah).
