looking for info on repairing system 1 gottlieb sound boards

i have been to marvin 3 pages not very much help there.i working on a buck rodgers machine im ordering a cap kit for starters and keeping my fingers crossed. i do have the white noise but no sound.thanks

Check to make sure that you have the correct voltages on the sound board. There is an onboard regulator that outputs +5 VDC. This voltage drives the logic on the board. There are some proprietary chips on this board and I believe obsolete. Good luck

They make a little board in germany or something that mounts to where that chip goes, and makes it work again. I've got a guy looking at one for me right now, if he gets it fixed I'll pass along his info. I wasn't even getting white noise though, unfortunately.

update of a possible future board

ok thanks,it stinks a pinball machine with no sound. i also was talking to jim knight from rotten dog at are ohio show.he was telling me this is a project he is going to look into making a new board.so all us system 1 guys keep your fingers crossed.

IIRC Pascal already has a "new" board.
