I am looking for information for a game I have not seen since the 60's but was one of my favorites growing up. I remember the name of it to be Bombs Away, but was can a 12 year old remember. Have no idea the year made, but I played this game in the late 50's and it was a WWII bombing mission.
This was a mechanical game that had a rolling picture in which you viewed it rolling through a bombardiers site and tried to line up targets which had dart board type rings. As the ground scrolled below you, you watched thru the site and moved right and left as the targets approached, and dropped your bombs by pressing a trigger type device. You could drop one or multiple bombs on the target. Your scoring was counted by where your bomb hit within the target. If I remember correctly, the bombs dropped were ball bearings and landed with in pockets inside the target area if target hit, and rolled into the bin if it was a miss. You were given a set number of bombs to drop per each penny or nickle
I loved this game growing up, and have been searching the last couple of years for one, but have not had any luck even identifying the game. If anyone has any information as to the manufacturer and name of the game, I would be very appreciative.
