Man I dont know why its so hard to find a repair tech in the bay area! Ive looked in the phone books, google search and nothing comes up. Im in Santa Cruz and really need to find some one to help me out with a few games.

I have a Golden Tee Fore Complete that I believe needs a cap kit on the monitor. I recently installed a perfect solutions kit so I can run Silver Strike bowling along side. Everything seems to work but Im having problems with the vertical hold when I switch games. The monitor rolls when switched.

I also have 2 Cruis'n USA's that need some monitor work. Both screens are pretty dim and the color looks bad.

Any leads would be much appreciated!

Still looking for some one in the Bay Area to come do some work for me. Its hard to beleive with so many arcade game collectors in the bay area that I cant find any repair techs!

I have a new tri rez monitor that i want to install into my golden tee cab. Think it needs some minor rewiring as the connections seem to be a little different from the old monitor. Also need some monitor work on my Crusins. Im in Santa Cruz. Thanks

man, that sucks you can't find someone.

I NEVER go over that way or I would help.

You could learn to do it yourself. A lot of us do that.

seriously, it's not that hard. It's just intimidating until you know what you are doing.

See? SEE!!!!????!!!! I was in the Bay Area until last Christmas. I left because there was no work. And now you ask for help.

There are people in the bay, but it's not hard to do stuff yourself. You just have to jump in at some point. There are plenty of people here in the forum that are are happy to help with questions too.

Ha, yeah I do alot of things on my games myself, but I dont always have the time to work on them or know exactly how to do certain things. So for some things like putting in the new monitor, Id like to just pay someone to do so i can get the games up and running faster and that will make the kids happy!

I'm in the East Bay area and there are 3 different places within about a 15 minute drive from my house that do repair. I don't ever pay them to repair stuff but I'll buy parts from them and stuff. They will drive out your way but I believe they start the clock ticking the moment they leave the door here. It would be fairly expensive but they do good work. Mostly...

Ok, one last try! I still need help with installing a new montor in my golden tee and also help troubleshooting the steering in one of my cruisn usa's. I just replaced the steering motor, belt and steering pot but the force feedback still doesnt seem to work. Only other thing I can think of might be the steering driver board.

Any one want to make some money!!

So what are the places in the East Bay that do repairs? I have a Ms. Pacman cocktail table that needs some work. Probably a new monitor. Thanks.

Off the top of my head:

BMAO Amusement in Martinez
Beat the Wizard in Pleasant Hill
Tilt in Concord
There's a place over in or near Benicia too but I don't remember the name right now.

You are new here I see. Do you have any skills at all? The folks here might be able to help you repair it on your own if you post the issues in the monitor repair section.

Thanks for the info. I have worked some on my Donkey Kong cabinet and my Pacman cabaret. But it looks like something burned out in the monitor board and I don't know if I'd be able to fix it. Besides that the table seems to work fine. I'd just like someone who knows what they're doing take a look.
