For about 5 years now, I've had this Crossbow project sitting in my garage. With the freak'n butt of the gunstock grabbing my shirt every time I try to squeeze past.

Well finally last night I pulled the door off, then began testing voltages and having a look around.

I'm not a total purist, I'd say 90 percent of the time I prefer to rebuild and stick with the original power supply configuration. Honestly that's been effective.

Now that I'm looking at this crap, I'm wondering what the best course of action would be. This will be my first time doing anything with the Exidy 440 hardware.

Right now theres an old Happs switcher there in the bottom, which has seen better days, and a hacked up harness. Overall though it was done better than most I've seen.

Nevermind, I think I found what I needed on this post:

Repair the original supply. That's a simple supply and shouldn't take much.

Wash and dry it (see other posts here). Replace the smaller caps. I wouldn't bother replacing the larger filter caps. DeOxit all connectors. And test the voltages.
