Dave has not been able to fix the last 3 machines I've taken him. I'm not sure if he is just too busy with other projects or what?
i still got a game over at his shop. doh! i better go get it. wasn't dave real busy with those wind machines out in the palm springs area?? chris
I'm going to be setting something up with a guy who advertises his services on San Diego craigslist in the next few weeks, I'll let you know how he is/if he will travel.
Kind of depends on what you need I guess.
I think Francis (Nash / Ataricade) has started offering some services via his site. I think its things like board repair and rebuilds. He's certainly set up for it and definitely has the knowlege. www.ataricade.com
Andy, Andy, Andy... just think of the fun comments we could make about this...![]()
Josie, where is your mind girl....![]()
He mentioned several times that he was thinking of closing the doors on arcade repair because there just wasn't steady money in it anymore.
That being said, the guy is a very good repair tech and if he can't make a living at it around here, nobody can.I agree Dave is a good tech and a good guy, it will be sad if he decides to close up shop.
If there isn't steady money in it, how come he's keeping people's games for montha and not fixing them??? Not going to get more customers that way...I had games with Dave at Gamewizards for several months. He never called me to tell me if he was working on them and I ended up having to pick them up and get them fixed elsewhere (I mailed the boards out to people). When I collected 20 years ago I could get guys to deliver the games and to come and repair them at a reasonable price. Just doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
Yeah, he was very busy with the wind machines,
