Thought I would create a bit more drama here. :D This has been in the works for quite a while and is close to being finished so I thought I would post about this "RARE" dedicated Dr. Mario ;) I found.

Let the lynching begin...

I think it looks better in green.

Now just to resto a coin door.

Now it really could use some custom sideart. If someone would like to create sideart, feel free as if I tried it probably look like it was done with a box of crayons.

Whatch think?

Very cool. I like it in green to, helps bring out that bezel and marquee. Given that the cab will no doubt be tucked in line with other cabs, I'd say someone needs to dabble in a dedicated control panel first for ya.

I like the green, too.

Although, you should have trimmed more of that bezel out!

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if Rikkitikki could run bezels on plexi with the solvent injet method. Would be cool for the custom bezels that some of the fine folks here have created such as this Dr. Mario. I believe I would consider using it if it were done this way. Or if he could plotter cut the vinyl and apply it to plexi so I don't mess it up. :p

Nice work Big Kev. I was always gonna do that when I first designed that bezel. It'll look better with a black coindoor for sure. As to the CPO, that wouldn't be hard to design using the checkerboard background that I already put together for the bezel, and heaven knows there are enough dedicated vs. control panels in the world.

That looks Sweet! I like the color. It really ties the bezel to the cabinet.

There are really only 2 Nintendo games I would own, Mario Brothers (the original one) and Dr. Mario. Dr. Mario is the only game I play on my gameboy.

You volunteering? :D:D

If Rich agrees to print it. And I get one for the effort. I just need the vs. CPO template to line everything up. I hate sounding like a lazy boob, but since localarcade went down I feel like it's hard and time consuming as fuck to do some of these custom projects, as you have to go out and find some of the original scans and vectorized files from 87 different sources, or do ALL the vector work yourself again. I am a lazy boob, who am I kidding.

Be careful adding the checkerboard pattern to the CP, that could be overkill.

Agreed. Just a little would do the job. I would try to mimic more of the style of Donkey Kong. Maybe just use the greens as a solid color across the main area and the lower "stripe" could be checkered? Add the characters in the circles and good to go.
