Look what the @$%*@# post office did to my Rich Graphix delivery!! *MAD*

Fortunately for us mailing services will continue to become more and more privatized. The sooner the government is removed from mail services, the better, for the very reasons you guys have mentioned above (e.g., lack of a business agenda, and therefore a lack of motivation or care). In my personal opinion, the USPS is the epitome of everything that is wrong in the world. :D

My box literally weighed less than a half pound. You could have dropped it from a mile high and it wouldn't have mattered. It was crushed because the USPS sorting conveyor pinched it.

Tell me why you offer your own shipping containers that are substandard to the abuse your own sorting machinery will subject it to?? I just don't get it.

As far as I'm concerned, the USPS needs to drop their box program altogether. Lower our shipping costs, or even just keep them the same and eliminate the boxes. Apparently they are too flimsy to use anyway

I was sent home (or offered to buy tape, which I declined) to tape a box better before she would accept it. It was one of those very nice boxes with the fold-in flap that only need to be taped on one side. Never mind that I received the box in the same way I tried to send it.

And let's not forget Operation Wolf. A few of you know...

It was RPS which was a business to business shipping company that folded (or was bought out?) in the 90's. The location I worked out of was short staffed and was in a borderline dump as the building was crumbling. Yes modern UPS and USPS locations have cameras all over the place, but they didn't at RPS when I was there and theft was rampant I'm sure. I know I got one guy in trouble (fired maybe) when I told the manager about seeing boxes on the ground under the trailer (where the truck backed up to). If you wanted to steal a box it would have been easy to do so at that location. Perhaps that's part of the reason the company disappeared so long ago...

Hah! I worked at RPS to right out of high school as well. Our location was the same...
I'm pretty sure they were bought out by FedEx. I remember all of our trucks had "RPS an FDX Company" stickers all over.

I dont think it is specific to one particular company. Ups, usps, fedex, all have the same issue. Part of that is that the employees that do all the grunt work of loading and unloading packages are treated as worthless and provide no incentive for them to care what happens to your stuff. I worked distribution for over 10 years and it didnt matter if the loss percentage was high or low, the workers never saw an extra dime for the effort (promotion from within was not even an option on the table). Hence, i saw an enormous amount of damage, because the bottom line was the number of cartons per hour, didnt matter if a few were broke.

Since the issue arised from a deal done here, I didn't really know where else to place the thread. I definitely wanted to document the damage though, because I feel that the post office really messed up here.

This is NOT a deal possibly going bad, rather a 'concern' related to a deal. I didn't really feel like cluttering up the rest of the forum with useless information that is only specific to my deal.

Yes, you are correct, it's a 60 in 1 board being retro-fitted into a Playchoice single. I'm working a trade deal with bongoben.

I was hoping you had 6 pc10 boards jammed in there with a switcher!

I had a crappy thing happen to me. I ordered a Satan's Hollow marquee from TOG and it came in. I didn't open it right away. I set it aside until the cabinet was ready. What a mistake that was. When I finally did open the box...about two weeks later....the marquee was completely shattered. I looked for the box for damage and I saw a small hole in it and and area where the box looked like it may have been slightly bent. I wasn't the one who received the package so I didn't notice it. I was just told the package came in. I know know to check everything right away. Anyway, it was delivered by USPS. Since then I have had three or four other packages come in either damaged or late. Never had a problem with UPS or FedEX. So now I'm going to request that my packages are not sent via USPS.

Just use IPS.:D
