Look what the @$%*@# post office did to my Rich Graphix delivery!! *MAD*

I got my tracking number from Rich at This Old Game earlier this week on some custom graphics work I'm doing for KLOV user bongoben. I was excited to see the mail truck pull up to the house today....that is, until I saw what she had to show me:

Uh oh...this is not good. The package looks like it's been crushed 6 ways from Sunday. DAMMIT!

The box is already open, and there's a rubber binder holding it closed. The mail carrier was so very worried when she pulled up. She said, "I'm SO sorry, we received it off the truck this way..."

GRRRRRRRRRR

Update: The post office found my graphics, they were jammed up tight against the wall of the delivery truck. Completely folded over. There's a nasty crease in both the marquee and CPO:

The marquee I could probably survive with, but the CPO's crease was so bad it's delaminating:

*sigh* This sucks. Time to get in touch with Rich and get some replacement art going.

I hate it when shit like this happens. Especially when it's a project I'm working on for someone else.

I like how they checked "recieved damaged"

holy crap they brought you an empty box!!

not sure if any have any recourse with the po but Ill check
and Ill prnt a new set on Monday
that totally frickin sux especially when doing a quick turn order :(

Thanks for the quick reply, Rich. It really is beautiful artwork. Damn shame what those efftards at the PO did to it.

My post guy was just here and I showed him this post
his response was literatlly WTF!

He said techinaclly looking like that it shouldnt have even been delievered.
especially if the box was empty.

They use Fedex to fly all parcels to and fro so basically its out of their hands.
they blame them and vice versa when this happens

his recomendation dont use the PO for the work I do-LOL
My PoGuy is also a big fan of what I do:D

This kinda crap happened to me every time I sent art work. So I just started adding the cost of tubes to the price, and shipped in double wall tubes. Inside a box.

It's to the point that I even hate ordering artwork, as it's always crushed. They raise the rates, and decrease the service.

Is there some reason why this is in the feedback forum? It doesn't look like you were concerned about the deal going bad, since it was obviously a post office screw-up ;)

Since the issue arised from a deal done here, I didn't really know where else to place the thread. I definitely wanted to document the damage though, because I feel that the post office really messed up here.

This is NOT a deal possibly going bad, rather a 'concern' related to a deal. I didn't really feel like cluttering up the rest of the forum with useless information that is only specific to my deal.

Yes, you are correct, it's a 60 in 1 board being retro-fitted into a Playchoice single. I'm working a trade deal with bongoben.

A post tube [ cardboard cylinder] for the next batch of artwork , i would recomend
looks like some fat assed postal worker thought you had donuts in there ,,,,,,,,,,,

HA... wow. Well, at least we know the art looks good, right? :) And yes, the "Playchoice 60" is just a clever marquee for the 60-in-1 he's building me. He had a jamma-tized PC-10 single monitor cab so we figured why not do something with it instead of the normal multicade artwork you see everywhere. I think it's going to look pretty awesome when everything is finished.

Thanks for understanding, Ben. Yes, I agree, it will be a pretty nice looking cab when its all done, provided our postal carriers quit drop kicking my package from Oregon to WI.

FYI - I installed the creased marquee last night just to see what it would look like. As expected, Rich's work looks amazing.
