So, I'm fixing up a WCS. It started off in my hands as a real turd. Look at all the stupid stuff this idiot did before me.
EOS switches. Snipped the wires. No no no, we don't need those working.
Flashers in the back box: used 555s. I'm sure those will be okay (of course they were all burned to hell)
Speaking of flashers, after the 555s were burning up too fast, this idiot finally gave up and cut all the wires to them so they never worked again (for some reason).
Zip tied a coil to the pop bumpers instead of fixing it CORRECTLY. Zip tied. WTF.
Used a bare metal screw as a post (god, I hate when idiots do this)
Beyond all this, there was a ton of shit soldering all under the playfield. Numerous switch errors. A few switches weren't even THERE! Yes, that's right, you hit a target, you're not going to get any points. Why? Took the switches all the way out.
On top of all of this, the playfield is a train wreck. Or should I say, was. I've done a hell of a job touching up all the areas with filler, and did a great paint match job (I'm seriously proud of myself, here), then sealed them all in. Not to mention the cliffy protectors. There's nothing like taking a crappy old game and making actually nice again. Heck, I even bought a new coin door and lock down bar, among my numerous fixes. Starting to look really good now... No thanks to the complete idiot asshole that had it before me.
