I traded my TMNT cab for a 29" Deluxe House of the Dead cab + a Virtua Cop 2 cab!

My TMNT was in good condition but still needed some work. Needs side art and has some cosmetic damage but everything else was great on it. You guys would probably price it at around $300

The HOTD cab is complete and looks like it's in really good condition. Looks like the fuse is blown in the fused power entry module. If I'm lucky all I gotta do is change the fuse.

The Virtua Cop 2 is in a little rougher shape but it's complete. I think I might take all the parts out of the Virtua Cop 2 and keep them as backup parts for the HOTD. Including the 29" Med res monitor and sell or give the empty cab away.

I just really wanted the HOTD cab! never see that cab for sale in my area. Especially not that model

Kinda sad to see the TMNT go but I love this HOTD cab lol I think it was an awesome deal for me + the extra set of parts. 2 original Sega guns, 2 Medium Res Monitors... Just awesome.

I drove out to his warehouse and dropped off the TMNT, loaded up Virtua Cop 2 in my van, loaded up HOTD into his pickup and he followed me an hour away back to my house to deliver it for me. Cool guy.

Those games look to be in good condition but I would have definitely kept the TMNT. I have no love for House of the Dead or Virtua Anything.

WOW great deal! But yes I am sad about the TMNT going. But I bet you can find another TMNT for less than what those are worth. Both those games are great, I love shooters! My favorite shooter is Area 51 though. I always play it with 2 guns.

Seems like a good trade for you. :) I do have to agree with others that I would have kept the TMNT, but you made out good on the deal and you can find another one if you want to.

The only problem with the TMNT cab is it doesnt fit down my basement. It can't make the turn. So it gets some play in the garage but I really want my games in the house. HOTD is a beast of a machine yes, but it comes apart so I can actually bring it downstairs.

I also still have TMNT on my gamebox I can play

The TMNT wouldn't make the turn even after you remove the control panel box? It make the cab a wide as most cabinets.

Yes even with the control box removed. The problem is right where it turns the corner theres something at the bottom sticking out. Obviously this is a design specific to my house so I'm sure others have managed to get a konami 4p cab into their basement.

if I were in your situation I would modifly the stairs of possible. I am so glad I had a got a bilco door in basemnt when I built my house.

You can always pull the boards and other stuff out of the HOD and put it in a smaller cabinet.

Unlike TMNT, HOD has value as a route game, it still earns a lot of money.

I had a VC2, which was pretty cool but after playing it through a bunch of times, I got rid of it. You can swap in the VC1 board in there, but I don't know of any other games that will work in there...

I couldn't do that. This cab looks too good and I have no reason to do that. The monitor section comes off so bringing it down into my basement will not be a problem. We were talking about the TMNT cab going downstairs. Thread de-railed.

UPDATE:

Got off early today and finally had a chance to take a look inside the HOTD. Fixed the problem in 2 min LOL the original fuse holder in the AC Unit was melted/broken and the fuse was blown. I had a fuse holder laying around so temporarily installed that with a new fuse and it was zombie shooting time. I will have to find a original fuse holder for it later:

Monitor looks amazing, and everything is working. Can't ask for an easier fix than that. I can't believe how lucky I am tonight.

Awesome, I had a really nice Virtua Cop 2, I keep it for a couple years then ended up selling it, it's a good shooter that anyone can just pick up and play, likewise for the HOTD. I have a HOTD III now in a WAR Final Assault cabinet but it's running on Xbox hardware. You got a decent deal, just remember how much more maintence and cost is involved in those 2 shooting games if anything were to go wrong, compared to the simple jamma TMNT.
