LOOK! Nintendo super rare CABARET Playchoice Ten & Space Demon - TNT Amusements

Here are a couple of rare birds! The ONLY Cabaret Playchoice Ten I have seen or heard about! It has a ten inch monitor on trop and a 15 inch monitor below (same size as the Red Tent games)...a great size!!! And here is the only Space Demon I know about...sadly, no other Nintendo games made in this size cabinet that I know about!! Todd from TNT Amusements

Hey, what a coincidence. I'm actually building a few of these cabaret cabs right now. I have the prototype nearly complete.

I like that look for a cabaret.

I do, too. But, whenever they come up for sale, everyone talks about how ugly they are.

Looks like Phet has a former Space Demon cabaret, based on the CP. Seems strange that Nintendo wouldn't have put out a DK Jr. cabaret; maybe the other two didn't sell well?

That Nintendo PC-10 mini is neat...

Yes I do, but some jackwad hacked the CP to add a 2 way joystick on the right side. It also has the small cocktail buttons on it. I can't use it to copy, as the DK CP was totally different and used the standard Ninty buttons.

I plan on cranking out a DK, DKjr and Popeye cabaret cab before I sign off for the Winter.

Todd, I noticed that your button on the DK are white. I recently got one that I am restoring and they are blue and orange. Which is original?

Was there any documentation on that PC10? Is there something that confirms Nintendo actually made this thing?

I've never heard of this thing. Ever. I thought you were kidding in the other thread. :p

I was wondering the exact same thing. Before seeing this thread, if this popped up on Ebay I wouldn't have bought it because I wouldn't have thought it was original. That is a pretty sweet little cabinet!

Todd, how much do you want for that PC10 cabaret? :)

And is the 10" monitor a Sanyo or some other brand?

Orange and Blue are original.

These were actually relatively common in Europe, as the PC10 Deluxe and Super Deluxe. This looks like a proto, modified or homemade version of one of those. They used Hantarex MTC 9000's as the 10" monitors. You can see some more of them here :http://playchoice.riemen.net/rep_cabinets.html and http://entertainment.webshots.com/album/571366291yfwvXq

I noticed you (Todd) never chimed back in on your own thread, but I wanted to let you know that there will be a DKjr cabaret in the world soon. With a lighted marquee even:

That looks AMAZING, Phet. Are you going to throw mini-side art on the cab or just leave it blank?

Similar to your mini Todd... but different...

This one from Spain looks just about right aside from the pedestal being a bit thinner it appears...

Red Tents have 18" monitors, not 15!

That thing is sweet. Would love to have

there is no manual for it, but its definately a Nintendo machine...with all their traditional wiring, fasteners, etc....only wish they put bulbs in the header....as its dark in my game room with lights off....

Todd, thanks for the pics. I have seen another dedicated Space Demon mini and have seen two factory conversions from SD to DK (the SD marquee stickers were under the DK marquee stickers). The SD minis are definitely hard to find.
