Where would I be able to get a replacement microswitch for a pole pos brake? It's got an actuator that is much longer than the typical one, with a bend in it. Mine is shot. Wish there was a way to transplant the actuator into another switch.

If it's a standard microswitch... it's easy to transfer actuators... you just have to be careful.

You might be able to transplant, too, if you needed to. But yeah, there's all sorts of switches out there.

I'm probably going to buy a new one and use it as an excuse to buy some high score nvram stuff at the same time, but how would it be transplanted? These switches aren't designed to be taken apart. Getting it apart would be simple, but what would be the right way to permanently seal it up again? Super glue?

If they are standard cherry micros... they simply snap together. Get a blade, wedge it in where they separate and use a little finesse to separate the two sides.

Well, there's no harm in giving it a try. Thanks Frizz! I think I remember those pics. I think someone was trying to mod switches to make them less clicky (seemed like a waste of time to me).

bob roberts sells cherry switches with rollers and or actuators on them -

Yeah, those aren't long enough though. The pole pos one is about 2 inches long.

Anyway, Frizz's suggestion worked great. The original switch looked like it was permanently pressed together, and it sort of was - popping it apart was semi-destructive but the newer cherry switches I have didn't have any trouble separating and going back together. Problem solved. Glad I asked. :)
