Lon McDonald is here in Golden Valley, MN completing site 84!

For any local KLOVers in the Minneapolis area, Lon McDonald has offered to sign some of his baseball cards and hangout for a little while after he finishes rolling my Joust machine.

It's very late notice but if you have time today on this lazy Sunday afternoon and want to stop in, please feel free to give me a shout at 6 1 2 two two 9 five 9 six 9 and I'll give you my address. I'll be ready to receive guests anytime after 2PM for beer and cocktails.

Just reporting in again, he says he's having a killer game... he's averaging better than 2.3 Million per hour... he's going to finish in about 1.5 hours. He'll be done before 3 at this rate!

P.S. He gave me props for having a great functioning machine. He was particularly impressed with the controls being tight and feeling new. Fun to hear since I put 12 hours of work into the control panel alone. Granted most of that was stripping the 2 layers of adhesive off and sanding but it was still high praise for sure.

One of my buddys went to watch him play and then was asked to leave because he was wearing shorts. Something to do with a evening dress code.

Why don't you keep this to your post instead of derailing this one that's supplying updates?

Just to let everyone know, he finished early--not in record time but 4 hours and 31 minutes isn't too shabby.

Thanks to Lon for the T-Shirt and trading cards, I'll be handing out to anyone who wants one at my next retro gig.

It was pretty great to see the ending. I'm gonna upload a few more photos to my flickr account (above) and throw a couple of YouTube vids up as well.

Also, thanks to Tom and Eric for stoppin' in. Nice to meet you both.

Adam,

Thanks for hosting!

The Joust controls were sweet!

Loved the Star Trek materials...

No telling cat stories!
