logic comparator question

Mine has a self test board that I have never used, other than that it looks complete. Seller may be assuming it's incomplete due to the empty socket. Not sure what the DIL socket next to the ZIF socket is. Mine doesn't have that.

I have that same comparator. That's the only socket I use. I'm not sure what he means by incomplete. It works great.

As far as the comparator goes that looks complete. That kit originally came with or could be optioned with a logic probe and a test clip. The logic probes are usually long gone and the test clip is kinda hard to find too. The test clip goes on an ic and you can monitor all the pins at one time with LED's.
The card with the zif socket is a universal card. You simply use the dips to isolate the outputs for whatever chip you are testing. If you use the universal card alot get a ttl databook so you can look up the chip quickly. I prefer the test cards, I have one for most of the common used chips.
I put sockets on the reference cards because some ttl have the same pinout and you can use one card for more than one chip. That ebay unit looks nos but these are not hard to find in new condition like that. I would search around for a while, you can get them for cheaper.
