I'm working on a Lock n Chase that I just picked up...the side art is somewhat worn and there's a few gouges taken out of it. After reading a bit on this site it seems like the consensus between all you guys would be for me to sand it down, fill in the gouges and repaint it...however its a really complicated piece, there are tons of intricate curves and what not in the Taito logo...does anyone have any stencils or color codes or anything for this machine or any advice in general? Thanks...

I guess my problem is that I want it to look brand new, I'm replacing the t-molding and redoing the coin doors and everything, I'd hate for it to look new minus the sides. Plus the little gouge in the middle of the side just is well...ugly, I'm too much of a perfectionist I guess.

personally I don't see enough wear that I would want to restore that. I would leave it as is.

not enough wear? if there were stencils available, i'd repaint that thing in a heartbeat. i've been looking for that type of taito stencils for quite a while. i guess i'll have to scan my sides eventually and have rich or brian make some stencils from the scans!

I hope I don't have to end up doing the stencils, I know I could recreate the sides in Illustrator but I have no clue how I'd make all the small cocentric lettering...I work at the print center at office depot so I can print the side panels out full size on a single piece of tagboard or vinyl but I don't know how I'd cut everything out nicely...
