I just picked up a lance snack machine and need to get a lock for it. Its one of those round tumbler locks that unscrew when the key is installed.
Can someone point me to where I can get one or at least tell me the right name for this type lock so I can search.

Usually those t-handles unscrew, and the lock itself is just a normal tubular lock you can buy at any locksmith shop. Once you unlock it, the handle pops out and you unscrew the handle.

Of course, you may have something else entirely. If you do, post a pic.

If you need a handle assembly, contact a local vending company. They usually have those parts around for when people try to break into the machines...

The problem is the key is lost so its going to have to be drilled. Im pretty sure I can save the handle if I can find a new cylinder for it. Are these pretty standard?

"Inner Cylinder" locks are pretty much standardized. Most locksmiths either stock them or can order them. You're looking at about $20 for an inner cylinder.

Next question, if I drill this cylinder will I be able to get it out without destroying the rest of it? I have never messed with the tubular locks before. I do have a rota-broach drill bit set so the drilling is no problem.

I got it out no problem. Now I just need to get a lock cylinder for it. I saw plenty on ebay just like this, will take a look there.

I was going to tell you an easy way to get the lock out without drilling it, but never mind now...

I've used the "pull method" and gotten into machines in under 10 seconds...
