Loch Ness Pinball brought $20,327.27 on eBay.

Guess the buyer has more money then he knows what to do with. I rather spend that amount of cash on SEVERAL high end pin's then just one. You can outfit an entire gameroom with that amount of CASH. I wonder if the buyer is a Klov'er?

You could outfit a whole gameroom, sure, but there's one guarantee: it won't have a Loch Ness in it. ;-)

Thank god for the suckers eh.

Yeah. Some people said I was a sucker when I bought a CV NIB for $2100 12 years ago. Now I have a pristine CV that's worth more than twice what I paid. Thank god for the peanut gallery! (I'm sure the LN pin will hold its value, being one-of-a-kind. Pins are not as fungible as video games.)

God I hate when people don't spell out games. Don't make me try to guess or think back what a "CV" is. Now if you said TZ than that would be ok.

Is it really that hard to spell out the name the first time, then use an acronym for the rest of the thread?

It's kind of like a pronoun: say the noun once, then use a pronoun for as long as you need afterward.

Example:

Yo Doods, check out the sweet Circus Voltaire I just picked up!

Yeah buddy, that CV is HOT yo!

Thanks pal, CV is is in my Fav 5 fo sho.

...don't call me pal, guy

Clearly 20K to this buyer is the equivilant of maybe, $200, 500 or $1000 to the rest of us...Who says $20K means anything to this buyer? Even if it does, why on earth would that make him a sucker?

I DOUBT this will be the only game/pin in his/her gameroom btw...

Enough peanuts get thrown here to cause a stampede sometimes. (I guess thats what message boards are though right? People commenting on what others do?)

If I was so wealthy that I could drop $20k on something as ultimately unimportant as a pinball machine, then I'd do it too. It's highly unlikely we're talking about somebody who's refusing to feed their kids or pay their mortgage so they can buy this machine. For all we know, this bloke pulls in $20k before 9am every day.

More power to him.

You can try it on Visual Pinball. Not the real thing obviously, but it gives you an idea of the gameplay...

I don't think it's available for Virtual Pinball yet. I am basing that on the seller's response to a question during the auction...

"Hi Jon, I gave permission to Eala Dubh to use the pictures of LNM off of my photo site for visual pinball. He asked about ROMs but I did't want to pull them for fear of damaging them. I was told Herb at Fabulous Fantasies had a spare set as he was a former owner of the machine. I suggest contacting him."

Good suggestion though and I hope someday it will be possible to play it that way.

Sorry. I too get confused with many pincronyms. (Stuff like RBION and RCT). I thought CV was a more common one. I guess having one makes it more familiar for me!

I played it the other day in visual pinball. It's 100 percent out there. I have vpin on my mame cab and I played it right after I read about the sale....

I did the same thing Tom! The Nessie toy looks cool. I can only imagine it's a sight to see for real! I hit up the seller on RGP asking him if he would take a video but he said he would leave that up to the new owner:(...From what I heard the sound is not correct on pinmame..Is this true?
