Hello-
I have been trying to get some artwork downloaded from localarcade.com.
I do not have AI, but I do have Adobe Acrobat.
I can easily convert the .ai file into .pdf but when I do I only get the central portion of the file. I believe it has to do with my Acrobat settings. I have tried changing the settings but when I download the file it reverts back to the letter size paper settings and leaves me with one page of the middle of the art.
'help' for Acrobat states to change settings in distiller, which I did, but again, it does not seem to apply to the download.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

Send me a PM - tell me which one you need and include your email address. I'll see what I can do for you

Dee, email them to me, and I'll resize the artboard* for you so you can see the whole thing. You want them saved as .PDF? Did you find the Q*Bert art after all? :)

Or Deadly can help ya, no matter to me. She uses a program called "Vectorworks"...?

* That's usually what causes the problem you're referring to

I know the site has had issues over the past few months, it might not be you. Try http://vectorlib.free.fr/ - most of the art is there.

If anyone really wants an easy and free way to view .AI Download all the following and install in the order listed. 100% free - 100% trojan and virus free

Thanks everyone for helping me on this matter.
To clarify, I'm trying to repo an underlay for a qbert tabletop.
I had tried downloading from the site previously but there were obviously problems as it had been mentioned here at the time. I tried again today, with some luck. Not sure if the problems with my settings on Acrobat or within the files themselves.
I will check out the other link for artwork.
I have the background already drawn to size, just need to layer in details. It is in Vectorworks but I can convert to pdf.
I use Vectorworks for my job, it is a CAD program not only used by architects but is really geared toward scenic and lighting design for live entertainment.

Any further help toward this goal would be appriciated. Also any help with changing Acrobat settings would be useful as well. I mostly use it to convert files to pdf, and have no problems with settings doing so, but this is my first attempt at downloading/converting from ai to pdf

Send the file to Deadly or I. We both have Illustrator (I assume) and it's super-mega-easy to open/resave. Although I think the artboard needs to be enlarged, also very easy to do...
