I recently purchased a home arcade unit and it arrived damaged, with no possibility of return.
This is a large multicade with a 32" LED monitor running off a JAMMA Board. When the machine is ON, the 32" LED monitor shows an unclear/wavy screen - see photos.

Apparently the monitor needs tuning, or may need to be replaced. I have been unsuccessful at this using the OSD Menu. I could perhaps delve deeper, but this really isn't in my wheelhouse, so to speak.
Also, I don't want to cause any damage.

The distributor has How-to videos on dissembling the cabinet.

Does anyone have experience with these kinds of projects? I live in Vienna, VA.
I am aware that 90% of this forum is dedicated to restoring original machines but thought I'd at least give it a try : )
[I honestly couldn't find a User Forum for DIY 'modern' arcades that's nearly as active as VAPS.]

Thank you!

Well I'd grab a cheap LCD monitor and just plug into that to see if the results are the same. Then you know if this is a monitor or a jamma board problem.

I don't know anything about this but looking at this picture, then it's a Pandoras 10th Box Anniversary.

As seen in the video below:

Video shows you can adjust monitor output settings. Maybe go into the menu and play around with the settings.

I've messed with these a few times but the crappy processor speed and audio always sucks. Not sure I'd trust a review from a guy with a bunch of arcade 1ups. Lol

To be honest, there is really nothing in there that is economical to repair. You simply have to figure out whether it's the monitor or the Pandora box, and replace that component.

Is this jamma?
Hi, thank you for all the responses. It's not an Arcade1Up, it's one of those full-size multicades. Yes it is JAMMA. I was able to run a VGA cable from the JAMMA board to an older 27" monitor and the picture looks very good, little/no corruption. So it's not the JAMMA board. I then ran a brand new VGA cord from the board to the monitor in the cabinet and got the same results, so it's not the VGA connection.

It's the monitor. Which, unfortunately has a very hard to use OSD. Furthermore, I don't know if any of these setting options would even address the problem. 'Clock' adjusted 10-15 units didn't change anything.
Like I said, the whole machine was damaged in shipping (long story won't bore anyone with). I may bite the bullet and just get a new monitor. But then the cabinet is not easy to dissemble, a couple panels which should be removable are not, again possibly due to the unit apparently being dropped out of an airplane. That's why I'm searching for someone who can work on these things like it's second nature, as I'm afraid I'll just make things worse.

To me, it looks like possible interference maybe due to bad grounding. I would check the power cable and how the monitor power wiring looks.
Interestingly, when I first power up, there's a few seconds where the monitor shows a brief message about it's resolution, then "Can't find input source" or whatever... In those 5-6 seconds that small amount of text looks crystal clear, though of course most of the screen is black. Then the Pandora menu comes on and it goes to crap. But still, you would expect the wavy lines and stuff to be there at all times if powered on.

I've had one of these before. It's a Chewlix or something usually running an older Pandora's box. The panels are usually okay though. Have you tried a different Jamma PCB?
