little 3 1/2 year old little girl vs Turtles in Time
My little brother Jared's cute little girl somehow knows what an arcade game is(I think she's seen an arcade legends) but she doesn't really know how to play. Monday my brother comes over and I show him that the Turtles in Time board is working in it and we start playing[I'm testing all the jamma boards I collected one at a time]. Now the three year old insists that she has to play with us so we give her a character. She jerks the joystick up and down(several times) which I don't think is all that great on those 20 year old microswiches on 3P(one of which works but probably needs replaced) but ok. We keep telling her to "hit the blue button"(attack) and end up helping her run right at times and she scores about seven points and laughs when the turtles say funny things("ow my toes!", ETC.). About this time(having a short attention span and probably used to having several games around) she tells me that she wants to play another game to which we both kinda remark that it only plays this game right now. She runs off sorta miffed and then my other brother Geoff gets home from work and takes over.
She comes back so we end up with Geoff playing 4p and a screen full of Foot soldiers but my other brother had to go so I turn it off in the middle of the prehistoric stage.(has a toggle switch on the back). Before this I was trying to teach her to play Super Mario Brothers on my old Nes. My brother is gonna be there tonight so I guess it's time to try to teach her how to play again...which may take awhile...(just telling my story lol)
