I just got done admiring the disaster that is my work room and thought this might make an interesting topic to see what people have cooking out there.
Here's my current "to-do" list:
- Road Blasters dedicated / used to work but now is just completely dead, I suspect a problem with the ARIII reg/audio board and/or the "big blue" power supply capacitor. I'm withholding significant repair efforts until I'm done with the Turbo and Buck Rogers, and will probably work the whole cab over cosmetically with maybe restored side art.
- Floor model IGT slot machine / Jams on large payouts, I suspect a fried-looking transistor on the main board but I'm not sure, the mechanics have been cleaned and seem in good working order.
- Turbo mini dedicated / My main project, I'm rehabing the whole thing from the cab to the electronics, I'd say I'm about 75% done not withstanding any major electronic problems. Can't find new side art anywhere damn it!
- Buck Rogers dedicated / Next in line right after Turbo, and boy this SOB needs a LOT of work! The cab needs a whole new side, kick panel, new CPO, side art, and an overall complete refinishing. The electronics and monitor currently are completely screwed for as of yet undetermined reasons, the included wiring harness was a total hack job.
- Williams board set / I am rounding up a complete set in an attempt to build a one-of-a-kind Alien Arena cab using the prototype ROMS... needless to say I've got a LONG way to go.
- Exidy Victory board set / It came stripped of EPROMs and memory chips but IMHO it's a cool game and I'd like to restore it to good working order, then hopefully give it it's own mini-cab someday.
- Monaco GP mini dedicated / I've got two cabs actually, both need significant cosmetic cab work and were stripped of their PCBs. I've got enough parts to restore one, the other will probably end up as some kind of conversion experiment.
- 60 in 1 PCB / It needs a good home, I haven't decided whether to use my Buck Rogers cab or more likely my extra Monaco GP, or perhaps just build it it's own mini from scratch.
- Spy Hunter mini / slowly rounding up parts and will design my own cab... or at least that's how the fantasy goes... Low on the priority list right now but I'd love to build it some day.
- Arcadia Select System motherboard / currently has Leaderboard Golf installed and is overall untested, I'd like to convert it to the ultra-rare Sidewinder and... yes... give it it's own cab. Would kill to get my hands on the mythical ROMs for NY Warriors and convert it to that, if they even really exist in arcade form.
