Been reading about the battery acid issues with the Omega Race boards and about the Quantum boards being made...and that made me wonder what other boards need to be reproduced?

I'm new, so ...this sort of thing is still interesting to me...lol...i know some of you probably already know the whole list and all that...but, i'd like to know.

updated list:

(1) Omega Race
(2) Super Off Road
(3) I, Robot
(4) Warlords Cocktail PCB
(5) Super Punchout
(6) Super Locomotive
(7) Pole Position I & II - Boards tend to burn out their edge connectors
(8) Slither - or at least the daughter board, the main is interchangable with Qix
(9) Fire One! - Extremely rare and fun looking Sea Wolf-like game, the ROMs are available in public domain
(10) Side Trak - At least the sound board, the logic can be taken from much more common
(11) Crash!, Targ and Spectar boards
(12) Q*Bert - Battery acid issues like Omega Race
(13) Cosmic Chasm
(14) Black Widow
(15) Major Havoc

There's already been a number of threads on this topic but its always fun to yap about! Omega Race is definately one that could use a reproduction or even re-design, there's sooooooo many dead cabs out there waiting to be saved.

How about the Midway Power regulator board used in the MCR games? (and a few others) Alot of them got acid damaged due to the onboard battery too.

ok cool...so far:

(1) Omega Race
(2) Super Off Road
(3) Midway MCR Power Regulator Board

what else?

I know there are other threads on it, but, just trying to get a list going in one place.

list updated...keep 'em coming...maybe something good will come of this :)

(1) Omega Race
(2) Super Off Road
(3) Midway MCR Power Regulator Board
(4) Warlords Cocktail PCB
(5) Super Punchout
(6) Super Locomotive

Ok I'll play: TURBO SUB!

Yeah I know I'm kidding myself because it's a hardware nightmare of five boards, but it's extremely rare, the schematics and ROMs are available and overall it's an awesome game! Also Bouncer probably uses the same boards if the ROMs ever surface.

A few others of extreme rarity or with serious acid issues and/or hardware flaws:

Pole Position I & II - Boards tend to burn out their edge connectors
Slither - or at least the daughter board, the main is interchangable with Qix
Fire One! - Extremely rare and fun looking Sea Wolf-like game, the ROMs are available in public domain
Side Trak - At least the sound board, the logic can be taken from much more common Crash!, Targ and Spectar boards
Q*Bert - Battery acid issues like Omega Race
Cosmic Chasm
Black Widow
Major Havoc
I, Robot

**are the boards in #11 all the same board? or should I list those separate?

(3) Midway MCR Power Regulator Board

Just use a switcher, or buy a working one on KLOV for $40. (Or just repair the damn thing) Why put all the time and energy in reproducing this board?

Yeah, there are plenty of MCR p/s boards out there. I just bought 2 for $18 shipped from a guy on here. Rebuild and you're good.

Also, if your original was hosed by acid damage, you'll still need to repin the harness side connectors.

They all use the same main board but the sound daughter board might be different, I mentioned them because they're not very rare and one could in theory use them to make a Side Trak set if someone were to make its sound board.

I think Omega Race is the one most sorely needed right now, there's pretty much a 100% failure rate with them if one doesn't get to that damn battery soon enough.
